Saving Work Product in Forms

#1

Post by admirablebobaal » Tue Mar 22, 2011 3:59 pm

I was working on a letter in the case of Paredes, Maiela, deceased. I lost about four hours of work.

I saved my work every ten minutes or so. But the last time I saved I was trying to input cntl s, but I think hit three buttons instead. There was an error message, and I cannot retrieve the document. The document is now blank.

The document was in Activities, in my Activity 8, saved letters. The title of the document was transcript of Recorded Confession - Disk One.

Is there a way to retrieve my four hours of work?

Thank you.

If it is case activity then there is an autorecover you can click. Otherwise, if you are trying to recover the document you can try Control-Z to undo or if you have it integrated with Word or Word Perfect then those word processors usually also have auto backups that can be recovered.

How do I integrate with Word or Word Perfect. That sounds like a perfect solution! Thank you.

There are a few samples I can have you try for dictation. If you have Word Perfect try printing form 10607. If you have Microsoft Word then try printing form 10628. A1-Law will name the document for you so all you have to do is either click File, Save in Corel or Microsoft Word or just click the second X in the upper right corner to close the window and click Yes when it displays Save Changes.

Form 10628 comes out without a letterhead. I tried a couple ways to edit the form, but it may be you are using a merge function to create the form. How could I add my letterhead to the form?

Thank you.
