I am creating a form in spanish so I need to do a getparty command that only pulls up the last name of the client. The one that I can go to using the question mark at the bottom that gives some form letter commands gives both the first and last name. Please let me know how to pull up only the client's last name.

To pull up only the client's last name, use these commands:

I see you say the letter is in Spanish. You may also want to look at the:

This will automatically address the letter with a Spanish salutation (provided you have Version 4.00 or a beta update, try it with your version).

It automatically puts Estimado or Estimada and Sr or Sra. Check the salutation3 and salutation4 commands if you are trying to do a salutation.
