Good morning Mike,

I need your help with a form. This form is pulling the claim number on the first page, but not the second page, and the Applicant's attorney information and Defense Attorney information are in the wrong reversed. When you have a moment, can you please look into that for us? Thank you very much! Have a great day!

Hello - a few things. First, if the form (and all forms) are reversing app/defense information then click Tools, System, Configure System Defaults, General and make sure the "Oriented to Defense" is checked. Next, take a look at letter 10004 and you may want to check the box "do not allow updates to overwrite this form) and then make sure the GetParty information in that form matches your categories at the Party sheet. If not, change the form to match the categories you use (such as AttorneyApp, etc).

Hey Mike,

I never knew that the "Oriented to Defense" checkbox was there. Worked perfect.

Thank you,

Another thing to note is that it is possible to set up "conditional merges" such that depending on the attorney or type of case it can determine what to merge. So if you had a status like OPEN-APP (for open-applicant) or OPEN-DEF (for open-defense) it can determine what to merge and correctly merge applicant or defense information should an attorney be handling both. Otherwise, if the firm handles mostly one or the other then the checkbox should work just fine. :)
