Firefox 3.5 - Loads Appellsoftware.com Slowly

Dear Michael,

I wanted to give you a heads-up.

I went ahead and updated from Firefox 3.0.11 to Firefox 3.5 today.

Firefox 3.0.11 was taking less than 5 seconds to load your website appellsoftware.com.
Firefox 3.5 is taking 80 or more seconds to load the website.

I checked IE 7 (7.0.5730.11) - less than 5 seconds to load the site.

100.0 Mbps connection
Windows XP Professional (with latest updates except IE8)
1.5 GB of RAM

I am not sure if this is occuring on other people's setups... I will check around.

Sounds like a firefox configuration issue of some sorts. Check filters, popups, anti-virus settings, etc.

The only two add-ons I had was:

Java Starter 1.0
Greasemonkey 0.8

I went ahead and disabled both.

and cleared the checkmark in "Block Pop-up windows"

-No change. Still 80+ seconds to load the appellsoftware website.

The antivirus is still the same: Symantec.

I am guessing that it is a Firefox issue that will be cleared up in the next few weeks. Just wanted to give you a heads-up in case other A1-law offices use this browser.

Note: If I understand it correctly, a recent MS Update installed the Add-on "Microsoft .NET Framework Assistant 1.0" on versions of Firefox. The 3.5 update seems to make that Add-on incompatible.

It could be - I know that my version of Firefox (version 2) loads my site right away.
